Sea Urchin, Sputnik, Starburst…

I’m still renovating but that doesn’t stop me from planning the decorating part – it’s in the works….

Although the bones of the apartment will stay neutral – a pale gray and white, I’m going for color in the curtains and upholstery this time around. My current plan is peacock blue, gray, and maybe a little influx of green, but that could change...

I've got fabric samples strewn everywhere at the moment and I’ve seen a few eyebrows raised when they see the color. I’ve done color before, just not for Me.

One of my top contenders is Kelly Wearstler’s Sea Urchin pattern for Lee Jofa. It drew me at first sight, as it reminds me of my collection of sputnik chandeliers. I also love this Kreme wallpaper - it makes we want to do a lavender and gray room the first chance I get.

Surprise, surprise here it is again as an accessory. Kelly Wearstler and Jonathan Adler sell these – I want one. It would look great in my empty fireplace.

I keep seeing this "thing" popping up, and every time I do, it makes me happy so it’s in, whatever it is – a sea urchin, a sputnik, a starburst. Who knows? I guess when you like it, you like it…

Anyway, stay tuned most likely you will see this pattern in my living room curtains with an over sized metallic silver rickrack in running down the side. Or that’s the plan anyway…

I really like it. The room sounds great. I love gray and white and love rooms with patterns in the drapes and accessories. Any date on when we might see some part of the renovation. Perhaps the bath is finished?
