Here’s an interesting treatment for a mantle wall and the fireplace surround: mirror it - ALL of it.
The designer in this room created a floating mantle by making everything around it completely disappear. I’m the queen or mirrors, and have never taken it this far, but for this to look polished, you’d have to get the seams right.
They got it right - that, and the rest of the room… I’m Loving all of it, down to the wavy dots on the rug.
PS: To bevel or not to bevel, that would be the question…
