So What Time Is It?

Not that I’m skipping holidays, after all I love Thanksgiving, but it seems the "get ready for Christmas craze" has already begun. I woke up yesterday to the city hanging decorations across the street - my favorite, the all-white-light snow flakes.

They go up fast… A truck full of snowflakes, a man in a bucket, and in the blink of an eye, it was up. I tried to get a picture on my iphone, but he was done before I could snap. I LOVE these. They line the streets of Columbus Avenue, and lucky for me, there’s one just outside my window. Pretty...

Yesterday must have been decorating day, as I heard the iconic snowflake on 5th Avenue went up too. It’s gorgeous, and the tree in Rock Center – yep, it’s here. Starbucks even has their snowflakes up. I can’t help but think, the rest of us are behind... My Mom was in town two weekends ago and she wanted to hit the flower district on our way to the flea market. She decorates big for the holidays, and is always looking for that next something. We had a ball... The change of seasons is different in Chelsea - Christmas hit 28th street weeks ago. If you’re in the city, stop by Jamali Garden. You won’t be disappointed.

All of this starts me thinking about my own decorating… BUT that will have to wait until after Thanksgiving. We’re celebrating here this year, so I'll have a house full on balloon day, but after that, it’s ladder time - time to pull down the decorations and drag home a tree…

PS: These images are from house to home - seems they’re ready already too.
