Simplicity is King…

In Manhattan hallways are rare, and if you have one, they’re rarely wide and almost never windowed. You have to leave the city for that…

This one, featured in Veranda, has everything…. It belongs to fashion Designer Lisa Perry, a very stylish and talented woman. I love the clean simplicity - white with a shot of color in the artwork, the dresser, and the upholstery. There’s a complete absence of clutter here and a super soothing vibe. I’d probably add one more thing - a very tall mirror over the dresser, but here less is more.

I’d like more of this… I also love the repeating benches next to the windows. Who wouldn’t want to hang out there?

For more on Lisa check out her website, it’s great, or drop by her store on Madison Avenue – it’s colorful, it’s white and it’s loads of fun…

This space really appeals to me. It's the simplicity and the use of colour.... it's stunning.

Gorgeous...I agree with you about the mirror.

I also loved Carolyn Roehm's tablescape this month with the pink parrot tulips en mass in her garden (p.54-Veranda). It was stunning. I'd love to live there.

I agree Valerie, the beauty of just one color...

Thanks Dream Mom, I'll have to check out page 54 tonight.
