Looking Forward…

I'm anxiously awaiting Apartment Therapy's next design book due out in May - Big Book of Small, Cool Spaces by Maxwell Gillingham-Ryan.

Why? One, because I have been reading the AT blog, long before I even thought of creating mine. And two because my apartment is in it.

It seems like forever ago that they came here for the photo shoot. And sooo much has happened since then – that space is sold and as you know I'm well into the next one. In fact they called me to see if they could take a few more shots, and I was already packed and gone…

What a great day…. We had so much fun, and truthfully I think I missed half of what they shot, so it will be as big of a surprise to me as to what makes it in the book, as you. Another bonus – I got to meet Maxwell in person. He is truly amazing and inspiring...

He took some candid shots on his own of the apartment that day and it's been fun to see them crop up on AT here and there over the year. In fact they just did a post on marble counter tops and I saw my space again. It took just a second to spot the cupcakes, teapot and dishes to recognize it was mine – a perfect way to remember …

You can find the book at bookstores or if you want or you can pre-order it here on Amazon:

Before then I will fill you in on the preview party details. I can’t wait to meet everyone else behind the book. Stay tuned…

Congratulations, how exciting! A perfect reference tool for new yorkers, although my ideal book would be the "Kelly G Encyclopedia of Interior Design". Keep us posted, I'm signing up for the book, stat!

Oh, how exciting!

I saw Maxwell for the first time on a show called, "Mission Organization" and really liked him. I've read his book and thought he was a good organizer as well as being very personable. I am also a reader of AT.
