Sneak Peek…

I love adding interest to a room with architecture, and incorporating open screens are a great way to do just this. Screens like latticework provide some separation between rooms and create interesting sneak peeks into the next. Another bonus - they also keep spaces super light and bright.

This is a great way to create drama and live in an open plan without the full commitment. I LOVE the way this looks – retro and fun.

In House Beautiful’s Kitchen of the Year featured at Rock Center, Jeff Lewis used this technique to divide the kitchen from the lounging area, and it looks fantastic. He said he designed it to hide dirty dishes, but really, are there ever dirty dishes in Jeff Lewis’s kitchen? I love his show BTW…

Here are a few more winners - The Tides Hotel by Kelly Wearstler, an Unknown NYC Townhouse in my save file. All really, really good.

Someday I’m dying to do this...
