As Simple As….

Black and White

I was shopping the other day and ran across some great black and white fabrics, which immediately took me back to a room I fell in love with years ago when the new Bloomingdales in SOHO first opened. The cafe, permanently imprinted in my memory, was wallpapered in a very large scale black & white print - I couldn’t not take my eyes off it. I went back several times and one day it was gone. A common New York experience – I hate when this happens…

This look ordinarily would be a big stretch for my usual likes, but it left a long lasting impression. Ever since then, I’ve wanted to do a black and white room. I would likely add a one color accent that could easily be changed - bright pink, green, or turquoise/blue could do the trick.
